His campaign war chest is heavily driven by grassroots, small-dollar contributions, with past metrics showing an average donation size of about $38.
As the only Democratic incumbent running for re-election in a state that Donald Trump won in 2024, Ossoff’s historic cash reserves are positioning him to defend against a wave of Republican spending.
His Republican opponent, Representative Mike Collins, has not yet released his latest second-quarter totals but previously reported having $5 million in the bank. National Republicans have targeted this race heavily, with the GOP-aligned Senate Leadership Fund pledging an initial $44 million to unseat Ossoff.
But Republicans recognize that toppling the popular Democrat won’t be an easy task and this massive haul underscroes that fact.
