Metro Atlanta is kicking off a month-long celebration of Latin culture, music, and art as Hispanic Heritage Month officially gets underway. From mid-September through mid-October 2026, local municipalities, universities, and cultural arts organizations are hosting an array of events designed to honor the deep traditions and diverse contributions of the Hispanic community.
The cultural programming included events just minutes from East Point, as the acclaimed “México en el Corazón” tour will make a highly anticipated stop at the Wolf Creek Amphitheater on Sunday, September 20, 2026, at 6:00 PM. The family-friendly spectacular features world-class mariachi musicians and traditional folkloric dancers. Admission to the outdoor amphitheater is free to the public.

Academia is also marking the occasion with new traditions. The Georgia State University School of Music will debut its Inaugural Hispanic Heritage Concert on Thursday, September 24, 2026, at 11:00 AM. Held at the Florence Kopleff Recital Hall in downtown Atlanta, the concert is specifically curated to showcase classical and contemporary compositions by Hispanic composers.
As the month progresses, culinary and immersive art experiences take center stage. On Saturday, September 26, 2026, the Kimpton Sylvan Hotel will host the Atlanta Mexican Food & Drink Festival, highlighting premium agave spirits and regional dishes. Later in the month, the celebration concludes with ¡Salud! Pa’ la Cultura on Thursday, October 15, 2026, an experiential showcase at Guardian Works that pairs live Latin music with curated art galleries.
With a mix of free community festivals, educational concerts, and culinary events, Metro Atlanta’s 2026 Hispanic Heritage Month lineup offers accessible ways for all residents to engage with and celebrate Latin heritage.
