WNBA superstar Angel Reese’s iconic “Bayou Barbie” moniker has officially transitioned from the hardwood into toy aisles. Mattel, Inc. announced the release of an official Barbie Signature doll sculpted in the likeness of the Atlanta Dream forward. The historic rollout coincides with the 2026 WNBA All-Star Weekend in Chicago, making Reese the first Black WNBA player to receive her own signature Barbie doll.

Merging Sports and “Unapologetic Glam”
The new doll utilizes Barbie’s tall “Made to Move” body template, replicating the 6-foot-3 athlete’s flexible, athletic build. It comes outfitted in a custom pink basketball uniform featuring “Angel” and her No. 5 jersey. It also includes her signature single-leg sleeve, a pink headband, and a basketball.
In an exclusive interview with PEOPLE, Reese shared her excitement about the final design:
“My doll reflects both my love of basketball and fashion because I’ve always believed you never have to choose between being fierce on the court and expressing who you are off it. I hope young girls can look at this doll, lace up their Reeboks, and feel inspired to confidently step into their power.”
The Reebok Connection
The collaboration expands beyond Mattel. The doll comes standard with mini replicas of her signature Reebok Angel Reese 1 sneakers in an exclusive, vibrant pink colorway.
Reebok will simultaneously debut the lifestyle edition of the Reebok Angel Reese 1 “Barbie” shoe for consumers. The shoe features co-branded accents on the tongue and sockliner, releasing in both adult and kids’ sizes.

The celebration continues following the break. The Atlanta Dream will host an official “Barbie Game Day” on August 3 at State Farm Arena during their matchup against the Las Vegas Aces. Special ticket packages will grant fans access to exclusive, co-branded merchandise.
Reese, who is currently averaging a career-high 15.4 points and 11.5 rebounds per game, continues to establish herself as an elite cultural and corporate pioneer early in her third professional season.
