The Atlanta Braves Foundation has officially launched an emergency fundraising and auction campaign to assist the victims of the catastrophic 7.2 and 7.5 magnitude earthquakes that struck Venezuela.
The team features several players of Venezuelan backgrounds including star player Ronald Acuña Jr., pitcher Martín Pérez, reliever Robert Suarez, coach Eddie Pérez, and bullpen catcher José Yépez—so the tragedy has hit home for the NL East-leading squad.
How the team’s foundation is helping earthquake victims:
Matching Donations: The Atlanta Braves Foundation will match all fan donations dollar-for-dollar up to $25,000.
Charity Auction: Fans can bid on a unique, original painting of Ronald Acuña Jr. by popular Atlanta artist John Hill, which is co-signed by Acuña himself.
Autographed Photo Sales: Signed pictures of the team’s Venezuelan stars (Acuña Jr., M. Pérez, Suarez, and E. Pérez) are available for $50 to $150 each.
Timeline: The campaign runs immediately and will conclude on Sunday, July 12, 2026.
Where Funds Go: 100% of proceeds are routed directly to on-the-ground recovery groups, such as the Global Empowerment Mission, according to the Braves.
Attendees of tonight’s game against the St. Louis Cardinals at Truist Park are encouraged by the team to buy items at the park or give online.
