Bone Thugs N Harmony Receives Star On Hollywood Walk Of Fame + Video Of Ceremony

Legendary Cleveland superstar rap group Bone Thug N Harmony received their Hollywood Walk Of Fame star today.

The group released a statement concerning the honor:

“Receiving a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame is a blessing beyond words. Coming from Cleveland, we never imagined that the music we created would touch so many lives around the world. This honor belongs not only to Bone Thugs-N-Harmony, but to our families, our city, our fans, and everyone who believed in us from the beginning.”

They continued: “More than three decades later, we’re still here, still creating, and still carrying the legacy forward. We thank the Hollywood Chamber of Commerce for this incredible recognition and dedicate this star to the generations who continue to keep our music alive.”

Bone Thugs N Harmony, comprised of rappers Bizzy Bone, Krayzie Bone, Layzie Bone, Wish Bone, and Flesh-n-Bone, started off in Cleveland, Ohio, but rose to international stardom after being discovered and signed by N.W.A icon Eazy-E to his Ruthless Records label in 1993.

The group’s trendsetting, fast-paced sound and soulful harmony resonated with fans and the group became one of the most successful acts in Hip Hop history: Bone has sold over 16 million physical and digital records in the US alone, with worldwide estimates surpassing 30 to 50 million records.
