WNBA Playoffs This Weekend: The Atlanta Dream Secure 4th Playoff Seed, To Host The Washington Mystics On Sunday

The WNBA postseason returns to the A-Town this weekend as the No. 4 seed Atlanta Dream prepare to host the No. 5 seed Washington Mystics for Game 1 of the first round of the 2026 WNBA Playoffs.

The best-of-three series will tip off on Sunday, September 27, 2026, at 7:00 PM EDT at State Farm Arena.

A Battle of Young Stars

This highly anticipated matchup features a showcase of the league’s premier young talent. The Dream, led by powerhouse forward Angel Reese, clinched the higher seed and home-court advantage for the opening game.

However, they face a dangerous Washington squad spearheaded by the dynamic duo of Kiki Iriafen and Sonia Citron.

Despite Atlanta holding the higher seed, the Mystics enter the series having bested Atlanta during the regular season: Washington won three of their four matchups against the Dream.

But it’s a new ballgame in the postseason, and the action begins tomorrow evening.
