Krispy Kreme Doughnuts, one of the metro area’s most popular snack places, is offering discounts and a free doughnut in celebration of America’s birthday.

To get your free doughnut, all you have to do, according to the company, is show up to any of their locations wearing patriotic colors tomorrow, July 4th.

In addition to a free doughnut, the company is offering discounts as well. In honor of the holiday and the nation’s 250th birthday, Krispy Kreme is offering a dozen glazed donuts for $2.50 with the purchase of any dozen donuts. That offer became available starting yesterday and will continue through July 5. 

The company is also unveiling new patriotic doughnuts for the holiday as well:

USA Doughnut (new): An unglazed doughnut filled with Cookies n’ Kreme, dipped in red icing with patriotic stars and a USA decoration made out of sugar.

Firework Doughnut (new): A glazed doughnut dipped in vanilla-flavored blue icing, with gold glitter and a firecracker sugar decoration, designed to look like a firework soaring through the night sky.

Freedom Ring Doughnut: A glazed doughnut dipped in white icing, stacked on top with blue sprinkles and white stars, with red icing stripes on the bottom to give the iconic appearance of the American flag.

Chocolate Iced with Patriotic Sprinkles: A glazed doughnut dipped in chocolate icing and topped with patriotic red, white and blue sprinkles.
