Singer Taylor Swift is the most streamed Spotify artist of all time, according to the service. The 36 year old Pennsylvania-born entertainer topped the list of most-streamed artists, followed by Puerto Rican rapper Bad Bunny, Hotline Bling hitmaker Drake, Blinding Lights singer The Weeknd and pop star/actress Ariana Grande.
Its Spotify’s first time awarding the designation.
Swift has released a total of 16 studio albums since her debut in 2006. Her latest album, 1989 (Taylor’s Version), was released in 2023. Taylor’s Version is a re-recording of Swift’s fifth album, 1989 (2014).
Music industry watchers believe Swift achieving most-streamed status on a large platform such as Spotify demonstrates Swift’s impact not just in sales or awards, but in pop culture, media, and how listeners consume music today. Streaming dominance affects playlist placement, radio crossover, sync opportunities and cultural reach, and it demonstrates that songwriting and strategic catalog control remain powerful in the streaming era.
The top 10 was rounded out by Ed Sheeran, Justin Bieber, Billie Eilish, Eminem and controversial rapper Kanye West.
