From The City Of South Fulton:
The City of South Fulton is honored to announce the appointment of Chrissie C. Latimore as its next chief of police.
A veteran of the U.S. Army, where she served as a military police officer, and a continuing member of the U.S. Army Reserve, Chief Latimore brings more than 25 years of distinguished local, state, and federal law enforcement experience.
As U.S. Marshal for the District of South Carolina, she leads a workforce of more than 200 professionals and 115 deputized court security officers supporting federal courts, criminal investigations, fugitive apprehension, and other federal law-enforcement operations.
Her career also includes progressive leadership in municipal and state law enforcement, culminating in her service as a police chief and as a special agent with the South Carolina Law Enforcement Division.
Selected through a comprehensive national search, Chief Latimore will prioritize strengthening trust within the department and the community, cultivating a capable command team, and advancing a culture defined by professionalism and accountability.
Chief Latimore will assume command on Oct. 22. The City is proud to welcome her and confident in the future we will build together.
