15 Year Old Boy Charged With Murders Of Two Men In Dekalb

A 15-year-old boy has been arrested and charged with two counts of malice murder following the fatal shootings of two men at a DeKalb County park last week.

The DeKalb County Police Department confirmed that the juvenile suspect is also facing charges of possession of a pistol by a minor and possession of a firearm during the commission of a crime. Due to the suspect’s age, authorities have not released his identity.

The Incident

The arrests follow a report of gunfire early Friday morning, July 24, 2026, which drew officers to Constitution Lakes Park located at 1305 South River Industrial Boulevard. The 125-acre park is well-known locally for its Doll’s Head Trail hiking path.

Upon arrival, officers discovered two victims suffering from fatal gunshot wounds in the park’s parking lot. They were identified as:

  • Tomas Pascual Cano, 23
  • Andres Pedro Baltazar, 27

Investigators towed a gray van from the scene, which police confirmed belonged to at least one of the victims.

Current Status

Officials have not yet released information regarding a possible motive, or whether the teen suspect knew the victims before the shooting.
