Fans Express Online Frustration , Question If Legendary Group TLC Is MAGA?

A member of Atlanta’s beloved rap supergroup TLC was revealed to have given hundreds of dollars to MAGA Republican political causes–including $486.54 to Never Surrender Inc., a political fundraising entity with ties to President Donald Trump. This is according to The Independent.

Rozonda “Chilli” Thomas of TLC made a number of donations to Donald Trump’s presidential campaign in 2024, FEC records reviewed by The Independent show.

Federal political donation records list contributions to MAGA-aligned Republicans from a Rozonda Thomas of Stone Mountain, Georgia — an address publicly linked to the “No Scrubs” singer.

The records show Thomas made donations totaling $210.60 to WinRed, the payment processor for Republican campaign donations, $340.60 to the Trump National Committee JFC and $486.54 to Never Surrender Inc., a political fund-raising group with links to Trump.—The Independent

While everyone has a right to donate to whomever they chose while at the same time enjoying the right to hold their own political opinions, Chilli claims she is no fan of Trump, and mistakenly donated to GOP causes.

“I WANT TO BE CLEAR: I am not MAGA and do not support any of the many policies that are causing great harm to the American people,” the “No Scrubs” crooner wrote via Instagram Saturday.

She also posted, “I made a mistake too many make: I did not read the fine print. I thought I was supporting causes against human trafficking and for veterans.”

AllHipHop.com weighed in, and threw Chilli’s bandmate Tionne T Boz Watkins into the mix, reporting a rumor that T-Boz is also herself a closet MAGA fan.

There is a rumor floating around that T-Boz may share similar political views with her TLC groupmate Chilli, specifically alleged support for Donald Trump. I will be very clear here: I have not been able to independently confirm that T-Boz supports Trump. BUT, I have sources. What I have heard comes from sources that have confirmed to me that she TOO is a Trumper. She has not confirmed this and therefore is all alleged. But the talk in the streets is HOT.–AllHipHop

Watkins previously denied supporting Trump in a joint interview alongside Chilli with the UK’s Channel 4 News. The interview was taken after Chilli came under social media scrutiny for using the term “All Lives Matter” in an interview–a phrase some on the right used to counter the phrase Black Lives Matter.

Chilli dismissed the controversy by explaining that she supports all lives.

Chilli also fell under criticism after she re-posted a conspiracy theory emerging from the right wing that former First Lady Michelle Obama is a biological man.

Chilli acknowledged engaging the post but chalked that up to a mistake as well.

With so many mistakes, TLC lovers wonder if perhaps Chilli needs a social media assistant?
