After a period of dormancy, the East Point Municipal Utility Advisory Commission will hold a meeting on Thursday, October 8, 2026, at 6:00 PM in the City Hall Council Chambers, 2757 East Point Street, East Point, GA 30344.
The commission, according to the city charter, is seated as an advisory board that collects information and formulates its own independent findings in order to make suggestions for action to the city council.
The city council took a vote to create an ordinance recognizing the commission during a regular council meeting last month.
The commission was a critical board a decade ago as issues surrounding the city’s utilities drew broad community criticism and widespread attention, including from area media.
