The Atlanta Braves Take Game 2 Against The Los Angeles Dodgers 3-2: Series Now Tied–Next Two Games To Be Played At Truist Park, Beginning On Tuesday

The Atlanta Braves are leaving California with a win after defeating the Los Angeles Dodgers 3-2 Sunday night, securing a crucial victory to even the best-of-five National League Division Series (NLDS) at 1-1.

Faced with the daunting prospect of falling into a two-game deficit, Atlanta leaned heavily on a brilliantly managed bullpen game to stymie Los Angeles’ powerhouse lineup. The victory allows the Braves to salvage a split on the road before the series shifts to Atlanta.

The Braves struck first when Mauricio Dubón delivered a sharp RBI single to put Atlanta on the scoreboard. However, former Brave Freddie Freeman answered for the Dodgers in the fourth inning, launching a solo home run to knot the game at 1-1.

Atlanta recaptured the lead in the fifth inning, sparked by the aggressive baserunning of Michael Harris II. Harris laced a spectacular triple and eventually came around to score, providing the Braves with the precise cushion they needed to edge out the victory.

The Dodgers generated late-game traffic but were held to just six hits overall.

Didier Fuentes provided 3.2 stellar innings of relief for the Braves, though Max Muncy threatened a late comeback with a solo home run down to the Dodgers’ final strike in the ninth. Closer Raisel Iglesias entered to secure the final out, forcing Josue De Paula to pop out and cementing the victory.

The high-stakes series now moves to Georgia, where the Braves will enjoy home-field advantage at Truist Park for the next two contests.
