Community Notice: Sewer Main Inspection on Sylvan Rd (Ward B) – August 24–28

The City of East Point is continuing important infrastructure improvements to ensure our neighborhoods remain safe, reliable, and prepared for the future. Beginning Monday, August 24, our Public Works team will conduct a full sewer main inspection along Sylvan Rd in Ward B.

These inspections help us identify potential issues early, reduce the risk of future disruptions, and maintain a stronger and more efficient sewer system for the entire community.

•Sylvan Rd – Ward B

Schedule

• Monday, August 24 – Friday, August 28, 2026

• 7:00 AM – 5:00 PM daily

What Residents Should Expect

• One lane closure throughout the inspection period

• Traffic flaggers on-site to assist with safe and steady vehicle flow

• Minor delays are possible—please plan additional travel time and drive cautiously in the work zone

This inspection allows crews to thoroughly assess the sewer main and address concerns before they turn into larger issues. It’s part of our ongoing commitment to keeping East Point’s infrastructure strong and dependable.
